Nicky Webb

Nicky has been practising yoga intermittently since studying Dance and Drama at university. Nicky felt particularly drawn to the benefits of yoga whilst teaching in secondary schools and found the practice invaluable after having two small children! After completing the 200hrs Yoga Alliance certificate for teaching, she has taught in many differing venues, from studios in Cardiff to school halls. Nicky also holds certification with Cosmic Kids children’s yoga which enables her to teach 2-12-year olds and frequently offers workshops to schools. In addition, Nicky is qualified to teach pregnancy yoga, post-natal and Mum and baby yoga having gained Yoga Alliance PYT Certificate.

The classes aim to provide a warm, friendly environment without judgment – yoga is for everybody!

Helen Isaacs

Helen Isaacs

Helen has been teaching yoga for 17 years. She holds both an initial (TTC) and advanced (ATTC) teaching qualification awarded by the Sivananda organisation, plus a British Wheel of Yoga Teaching Diploma which she completed in 2006. She has recently completed a Kriya Yoga course with the Mandala Ashram in Carmarthenshire, which she visits regularly for retreats and further training courses. Helen believes strongly that yoga is a practice for life, whatever your age or physical ability – her mother, who introduced her to yoga over 25 years ago, still attends a weekly class at the age of 85!

Emma Pugh

Emma teaches Iyengar Yoga and her classes are known locally under www.yogainthehills.co.uk. She loves teaching and most of all, loves the sense of enquiry and curiosity that Yoga can bring us all. The Iyengar method is known for it’s clarity, it’s focus on alignment (to get to the parts we often don’t reach) and use of props to help the student ‘be’ in the pose. Emma has been practising Yoga for over 25 years and found Iyengar in 2009. For her, as she gets older, it has and continues to help her build strength alongside flexibility, whilst also bringing a sense of deep calm. Emma aims to teach with clarity, compassion and a sense of humour.

For the last 30 years Emma has been promoting health and fitness. She spent twenty years helping people on their personal fitness journey through classes and personal training. For the last 12 years she has worked in the NHS and public health, promoting healthy behaviours and working to improve population health. Emma has a degree in Sports Science and she is a level 3 Pilates teacher. She has taught many different fitness classes over the years but Pilates is special to her. It helps to improve your posture, strengthen your core, and stretch tight muscles. It is also the perfect antidote to busy lifestyles, realigning your body whilst helping you to regain our peace of mind.

I began teaching Yoga as an occasional cover teacher for a local studio in the USA, after having been a very keen student for a few years. I quickly discovered how much more there was to teaching Yoga than simply leading a class, so I enrolled in a Kripalu teaching program and formally completing my teacher training in 2005. Wanting to learn more, I subsequently completed an advanced 500 hour teacher training, also with Kripalu. (2008). I love learning as much as I love teaching, and have since completed several more training programs, including Yoga for Healthy Lower Backs (130 hours) and have completed a Yoga Therapy Diploma. I’m now a Senior Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance Professionals, which means I have taught more than 4000 hours. I consider myself first and foremost a perennial student and I continue to teach, study, and practice regularly. I believe my continued study and practice has brought a depth and precision to my Yoga teaching. After all these years, I still love Yoga – both teaching and learning more about it!

Ceri Elms

Ceri Elms is a Daisy Foundation Perinatal Educator offering Daisy Birthing classes and Active Birth Preparation Workshops. Ceri provides continuous perinatal support and perinatal education to mums and families in Abergavenny, Brecon and Crickhowell. Daisy Birthing classes and Active Birth workshops offer practical birth preparation, including effective techniques, birth positions, breathing and evidence-based education for labour, and relaxation and gentle movements to promote a more comfortable pregnancy.

Ceri is a trained breastfeeding peer supporter, a mum, positive birth advocate, a 'tell me a good birth story' birth buddy and a freelance TV producer, festival manager, and writer, contributing articles to upcoming editions of the Positive Wellbeing Zine for mums. She will be adding baby and postnatal classes as a full continuity of care throughout your pregnancy, labour and motherhood journey in the New Year.
