Flexi Soul Yoga

Our Teachers

Nicky Webb, Flexi Soul Yoga

Nicky Webb

Nicky has been practising yoga intermittently since studying Dance and Drama at university. Nicky felt particularly drawn to the benefits of yoga whilst teaching in secondary schools and found the practice invaluable after having two small children! After completing the 200hrs Yoga Alliance certificate for teaching, she has taught in many differing venues, from studios in Cardiff to school halls. Nicky also holds certification with Cosmic Kids children’s yoga which enables her to teach 2-12-year olds and frequently offers workshops to schools. In addition, Nicky is qualified to teach pregnancy yoga, post-natal and Mum and baby yoga having gained Yoga Alliance PYT Certificate.

The classes aim to provide a warm, friendly environment without judgment – yoga is for everybody!

Emma Pugh

Emma Pugh

There are not many Iyengar teachers in Wales and Emma feels very fortunate to be able to bring some of the amazing teachings of BKS Iyengar to such a beautiful place. Yoga teaches her so much on a daily basis. She loves the inordinate clarity of the Iyengar method in particular. It has taught her so much about her own physical body especially as she gets older. It gives her space in her body leading to space in her mind. Emma has been practising yoga for more than 25 years and discovered Iyengar Yoga in 2009. She completed her teacher training with Sheila Haswell at Yogawest in Bristol and regularly attends workshops with other teachers, including the Iyengar UK Annual Convention. Sheila was her first ever teacher and is one of the most experienced and senior teachers in the UK. She challenges Emma and teaches with clarity, compassion and a great sense of humour - qualities Emma thinks are so important in teaching today. Living in nature, Emma loves what Iyengar reminds us about the practice of yoga: ‘Look after the root of the tree and the fragrant flowers and luscious fruits will grow by themselves. Look after the health of the body and the fragrance of the mind and the richness of the spirit will flow.’
